American Horror Story Season 6 – Ryan Murphy Working on Two Ideas

Ryan Murphy has a penchant for keeping his fans on the hook. Although American Horror Story: Hotel ended its run way back in January, details about the upcoming sixth season of the FX drama have been doled out rather slowly, just keeping us interested enough until the next detail comes along. This week, the prolific showrunner finally revealed some details about how Season 6 is coming together, and those details are quite unusual.

During the FX drama’s PaleyFest panel on Sunday, executive producer Ryan Murphy revealed to the crowd that he’s mulling two childlike concepts for the next installment of the horror anthology series.

“The interesting thing about this season is we’ve been working on two ideas at once, which we’ve never done,” he said. “So I don’t want to say what it maybe is…. Both things that we’re writing right now – we haven’t declared a winner – will have a different form, so we’re excited about that. We’ll talk about it soon, but we haven’t landed on it yet.”

It might seem like a bunch of prep work to prepare two different concepts forAmerican Horror Story Season 6, but it doesn’t seem as if a ton of writing has actually gone down with the scripts. Since we do know that Lady Gaga will be backfor Season 6 and we also know Ryan Murphy can get a ton of high-end talent to appear on AHS each year, theoretically whichever direction the show ends up going in should be good. In fact, during the panel, Murphy spoke out to the slew of Season 5 cast members on the stage, noting that all of them are welcome to be a part of Season 6 should they want to join.
