Jessica Jones Season 2 Announced

“We are thrilled to be making 13 additional episodes,” Sarandos said.

With new seasons of the Marvel shows and the Punisher rumors, Sarandos said he’s still focused on the five series Netflix originally announced: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders.

Ted Sarandos said that the casting of Iron Fist is “in progress.”

Otherwise known as Danny Rand, the supernaturally enhanced hero wields a mystical force known as the Iron Fist, which allows him to laser-focus his chi and, for example, briefly render his fist superhumanly powerful.

Daredevil season two premieres in March. Timing on any further series or seasons is influx.

“The complex one is really running into The Defenders,” Sarandos said. “The Defenders production schedule will determine the production schedule of second and third seasons. It’s a work in progress.”
