Tonight, “Supergirl” is not only continuing the story of Guardian’s early days as a crime-fighting vigilante; they are also giving you a chance to bear witness to the debut of Cyborg Superman! This character is one of the more infamous villains in DC lore, so suffice it to say, we’re excited to see how he comes across in the episode.
To go along with the continuation of at least some of these stories, there are also many other mysteries at the center of next week’s “Medusa” — including the title for the episode itself. What does that mean? It could easily be the name of the virus that is at the center of the episode, or maybe we’re getting some sort of new villain? We wouldn’t rule anything out within the world of this show.
Synopsis – “Eliza (guest star Helen Slater) comes to town to celebrate Thanksgiving with her daughters. Alex (Chyler Leigh) decides it’s time to come out to her mother; Kara (Melisa Benoist) is shocked when Eliza suggests Mon-El (Chris Wood) has feelings for her, and Winn (Jeremy Jordan) and James (Mehcad Brooks) consider telling Kara the truth about the Guardian. Meanwhile, CADMUS unleashes a virus that instantly kills any alien in the vicinity so Kara enlists an unexpected ally – Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath). The epic superhero crossover kicks off tonight when Barry Allen (guest star Grant Gustin) and Cisco Ramon (guest star Carlos Valdes) seek Kara’s help with an alien invasion on their Earth.”
We are officially kicking off the crossover event here, as if that synopsis was not the indication you needed of that. What is rather important to note here is that we don’t really think much of this episode will be involved with that storyline; more than likely, you should just think of this story as setting the foundation for everything else that is going to be coming later.
