Tonight, “Supernatural” is airing an episode that looks to be jam-packed full of demons, and we certainly think as a result of that things are going to get crazy.
Yet, it’s a completely different sort of crazy than the CW series is likely bringing to the table in two weeks for an episode entitled “Rock Never Dies.” This one is bringing back Rick Springfield in the character of rock star Vince Vicente / Lucifer in disguise, and we have a feeling that it’s going to be crazy precisely because of how Lucifer is going to take advantage of being in this position. Let’s just say that this is a prime example of why certain characters really shouldn’t have this sort of power at their disposal. If they do, crazy things go down.
Synopsis – “Lucifer (Rick Springfield) realizes that as rock star Vince Vicente, he can get his fans to do whatever he wants. Thrilled with this power, Lucifer arranges to play a secret VIP concert in order to kill all of them. Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) enter the underbelly of the music industry to try to stop him.”
We’re sure that there are going to be some dramatic moments here and there in this episode, but by and large, we’re just going to be here for the fun of seeing an attempt to stop a rock-star killing spree.
As for why we’re not going to get a new episode next week, there’s a pretty simple reason: It’s Thanksgiving! Enjoy the holiday; even if you don’t have many plans on the night, it’s still a good thing for the show to be in repeats. That helps to further ensure that there won’t be any low ratings that come about by the show airing during a holiday.
Promo – Lucifer takes center stage here, and Sam and Dean are going to have their work cut out for them as they try to do their part in order to determine whether or not Vince is really the demon in disguise!
